Pam completed her Urban Warrior race this past Saturday in Toronto. I was there from start to finish and I have never seen anyone as excited and ready to take on this new challenge. As you may or may not know, Pam was my ambassador for this race as she was representing Just Get Fit, and did so with flying colours. After months of training and completing road races and a duathlon, this was the final test (at least until her next training goal 😉 ) Even though she may have been the oldest ambassador there, being surrounded by a bunch of fit twenty and thirty year old crossfit pros, she was not intimidated by any of that. She fit right in among the group and barrelled her way from start to finish in this course which combined 10km of running with various obstacles along the way, including wall climbing and sand bag carrying. Way to go Pam!!

                                         Representing Just Get Fit!

Pam and I completed a very gruelling Duathlon this weekend: 2km run followed by a 33km bike, then another 7km run to the finish.  All her training and dedication paid off and she rocked it!. We had lots of fun and she pushed hard right until the very end. Just one more step toward The Urban Warrior race September 8th!

One of my favorite ways of getting a client motivated to workout is to have them train for a specific event- It gives them a training objective and the event becomes the culmination and tangible proof of all their hard work! This time around, my client Pam is not training for a triathlon or half marathon (although she has done both in the past). She is training for the Urban Warrior race set for September 8th in Toronto. It is a full body test, combining many different obstacles and circuits. Since the requirements for this kind of race is similar to the type of training I do – full body circuit training, This was an ideal match for me. As well, it is a whole different type of competition for Pam, who is always looking  for a new challenge!!

Pam has been an athlete her whole life, having competed in many different events and distances, including competitive dragon boating. She is working out hard and looking forward to representing Just Get Fit at the race!!  I am lucky to be in partnership with this great event and share with you her progress before the Big Day!

Watch out Urban Warrior…She’s fierce!
